Ability to start a new thread from SHOWTHREAD

Could anyone show me how to get the New Thread button back into the ShowThread template? I like to start new topics while inside other topics - instead of clicking out to the topic-list. Sometimes I'm on a 56k modem and it takes a long time going from page to page.
