I recently upgraded my forums to vb3 and I decided to redo the theme along with the upgrade.

Firt off, I like the default vbulletin look, so I'm keeping it. I'm not to bid on alot of graphics. All I'm doing is changing the colors and buttons.

I'm trying to find a color scheme I like first, before I begin work on the header and buttons. Right know I modified my old logo to fit with the new background color, and reused the header buttons from the old theme because I needed a gallery button. It is temporary and will change.

If you all could critique my choice in colors and tell me what you think, that would be great. Since the site is chicago based, I decided to do a Chicago Bears type theme. The main background is Bears blue and the category strips are Bears orange. I then based the rest of the colors off of the main blue color. Does this work? Easy to read?

Yeah, the buttons will change for sure. I bought some from vbskins, but they are for vb2. I'm gonna have to convert them over to vb3.

I'm not too fond of the colors - the orange category bars don't seem to fit in with the blue's. And generally, it's a bright color scheme which could hurt eyes.

I would love tis style!!!

any chance you could create a menu bar for it? I think it would look complete if you were to have a menu bar under the Chicago Talk logo. Maybe one like the one here?

If you could do this, any chance of realeasing it? ;)

Thanks for the kind words. I've been messing around alot with different color themes are last few weeks. I finally got a theme which I really like (thanks to a theme that came with my content management system I purchased). I like the theme so much, I ended keeping it and made my forums look like that.

The style is not done yet. The header is temporary. It will be changed, as I do want menu buttons somewhere up there. I also need to redo the buttons. Maybe make some changes to the postbit.

Release it? When I get all done with, and there is a demand, there's a good chance I'll do that.
