Hello,

I'm pretty new to VB. I'm a member of several boards that use it, but this is the first one I've created. So I am learning as I go, slowly picking up new things.

The forum focuses on politics - the 2004 election, the war in Iraq, freedom of speech, religion - basically all those discussions people get into flame wars about in the "lounges" at other forums.

For this forum, I'm using the Noviia skin from vbskins. I've modified it a bit. I added a side menu and quick reply and I've moved a few things around. I have a few other mods and hacks in mind, and I would love your suggestions.

Is the layout user friendly?
Are there too many forums? Not enough? Are there any ones I missed?

I will shortly be adding a section with articles and editorials.

-The side bar is making the forum look cluttered. You need to take room off the forum table. Make descriptions shorter etc. Do whatever you can to make it smaller.
-There are way too many forums. You need to start off with a really small number, and increase as you get more members/activity.

Thanks for the comments. I have been contemplating decreasing the number of forums until later, and several others have suggested that as well. I probably will be doing that.

Should anyone take a look today, my host switched me to a different server, and so there may be a lag in availability as the DNS propagates. But if it's unreachable for you, it should be back shortly.

isn't that a free invision board skin? ... looks like one of em =-oNope. It is a pre-made skin, but it's one I purchased from vbskins. I made some changes to the layout, but I did not change any of the colors or buttons.
