"Welcome New Member" PM

Is there an existing hack for V|B3 where a new member registers, he/she gets an instant PM from the admin/moderator, welcoming them and what not?

Or is the Welcome e-mail sufficient?

Yeah, it would be a hack, but they aren't releasing any at vB.org still.
