View Full Version : Why can't I download modifications?
Welcome to vBulletintemplates.com, the offical vBulletin template resource.
If this is your first visit to this site there are a few things you need to know before you begin downloading modifications or posting a support thread.
Piracy
In an attempt to stop piracy of the vBulletin software only vBulletin license holders may download modifications, styles, graphics, or admin css style sheets at this forum.
To be able to download modifications and/or receive support here at vBulletintemplates.com, please click here (http://www.vbulletin.com/members/membersupport_priority.php) (vB-germany users click here (http://www.vbulletin-germany.com/members/forums.php)) and enter your email address that is used in your profile here at vBulletintemplates.com, to show us that you are a licensed vBulletin customer.
You will need to use the customer number and password (the same information you use to access the members area at vBulletin.com) to access that page.
Please note that your email is case sensitive!
Not Working?
It can take up to an hour before you acount here is reconized as a acount for a licensed customer. If you can not access the site after 24 hours contact offical vbulletin support at vBulletin.com
Final note:
The staff here dose not at any point see your customer number and/or password. The only way to tell a un-licensed user from a licensed user is a extra bit of text in the postbit shown only to moderators and admins.

Before you can:
Get support
Download template mods
Download attachments
Access other features
You must go to the vBulletin Member's Area (http://www.vbulletin.com/members/forums.php) and enter in the e-mail address that corresponds to your account here at vBulletinTemplates. You will need your customer number and customer password to access the Member's Area.
Keep in mind that the e-mail address is case-sensitive.
If you have any queries or questions, please ask in this thread.

Hi!
I have set the right email adress in the vB member menu, but nothing happens?
Could it be that it needs a some time to activate that here?

Make sure the e-mail here and in the members area is exactly the same. This means case sensative, everything.
Then if that is right, sometimes updating your profile again makes it kick in.

Great! Been having alot of problems with this lately. >_<
It doesn't seem to be working for me, the email I used here is the same as the one I use for VBulletin.
I've read the other announcement and did what it suggested and still no luck.
Edit: Got it, I updated the Vbulletin info, when you guys said to update profile I thought you meant the one here >.<

Grrr how dumb. Ive gone to my members area copied and pasted email onto this site and still no access. It works on all ova vb sites just not this one
Gamerz try updateing your Vbulletin.com members info. That is what I had to do.

hi all!
i have a problem. i did change email to fit the one i took for the license.
the Problem is, im regged at vbulletin-germany.com (im swiss) and so far i know, they doesnt syncronize the DB's. That means i cant go to the members area of vbulletin.com but at vbuletin-germany i can.
is there a possibility to get a view on some skins?

I have done everything what was in all the posts.. but nothing helped .. i updated vbulletin / ctrl + c and ctrl + v for mail adres ...
changed the mailadres from silverdennis@shadow-guild.c.m to SilverDennis@Shadow-Guild.c.m .. but nothing worked for me :(

I did this a few times and still nothing. I can provide anything that's needed in order to prove I am a license member--have been for over 2 years now.

99.9% of the time, there is never anything actually wrong with the account, just takes a little bit to show, it does not seem to be instant.

I have tried for weeks with no success to access this site....Im about to give up. I have a owned license and I just renewed it. All the information is correct on both Vbulletin and here. So what gives? Why does it tell me I'm not a VB licensed member and I cant download.

You have to wait, it takes time to update the system. You are now showing up as licensed. :)
UniteTheCows and carryapple you both are also showing up as licensed members at this time :)

This worked for me thanks, just had to find my info for my vbulletin puchase and use those logi s then add the email address I used when joining here, thats it :cool:

We allow you to enter up to 3 email addresses per license here, which are designated to receive priority support on our community forums. These should be people entrusted to work on your vBulletin license. If you request support and you have not registered that email address here, then we may ask you to identify yourself. Additionally, adding your email address here will allow you to access certain customer-only features on the forum.

I added draculanowaday@yahoo.com in the first line, and then click on button "Save email address".
But I still can't download here.
It takes a few minutes to update, you should be able to access all area's now.

what do i do if my superadmin put me on his email list for VB and i have access to all parts of VB and .org and everything but i cant verify it here cuz i cant access the members area ? ? ?
If you email is on that list it will update, you just have to give it a little time. BTW you currently show up as a licensed member.

Add your email address in the first & second boxes in the vbulletin.com members area, I recently changed my email addy on the vbulletin sites and it was the only way I got rid of the "You are not licensed" messages on here, vb.com and vb.org

I just bought my owned vb license yesterday evening... I'm using the same email address here as in the member area at vbulletin.com, but can't seem to download any of the mods.
I was going to update my email address at vbulletin.com like it's been said... but the only way I see to do that is send an email to the vbulletin staff. Is that what I should do or am I missing something? :(
Any help would be appreciated.

You're showing up as licensed now, so you should be able to download mods etc.

This is a bit much. I am a legally licensed vB and vBP owner. I have updated everything on both sites. Nothing happens. This is very frustrating, to say the least. This is BB software folks... not a NOC list or CIA database.

It's not that easy anymore. They make you submit your new information through a form. My email address at VB is precisely the same as it is here at VBT and I still can not grab any attachments. I recently deleted all my cookies for all sites... and still I get nowhere. There must be some other issue than an email address.
Very frustrating for someone who has plunked down $$ for VB, VBP, and PhotoPost.

I got my problem all fingered out. (no help from this place)
This place has developed a seriously bad attitude towards lending some assistance towards people who are experiencing problems with regards to downloading. I don't know what it is and, quite frankly, I don't care. The whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. Both my PM's and my posts have gone unanswered.
The problem is this: the URL in this sticky thread (http://www.vbulletintemplates.com/mods/showthread.php?t=3234) is BAD and management has, to this date, refused to fix it. Therefore, anyone reading it who is also experiencing problems just gets one more problem piled on top.
Another part of the problem seems to be on VB's end. I recently requested that my email be changed to match my address here at VBT. They have been matching for over a week. Now, there is another thread (http://www.vbulletintemplates.com/mods/showthread.php?t=6047)here on VBT that has a URL that points to the correct email-tweaking page on VB. Interestingly enough, and evidently without much of a care in the world from the management here at VBT, my email address on that new URL was listed incorrectly. It seems like VB is using two different databases... with VBT pulling from the old database. At least that's what I can derive from my situation.
Informing people here on this site is futile. Check the URL posted by Tony and see if it pops up a different address from what you're using here.

The first URL in Tony's thread is correct, as you just echoed it above. It's the German URL you need to avoid... unless you live in Germany.
