I used to use vbportal with vbulletin 2.2.8, but then I went to vbulletin 3 and dropped the portal. My members are saying they're missing the last ten post listings the vbportal offered, so I was wondering if someone kind would help me put it back on for vbulletin 3.

I would like to put it on the bottom where the "What's going on" box is at right now here:

You can use the same hack as for the 2.* versions, you only need to change the path to the config file.

edit: of course this does not account for the XHTML

If you're desprate, port it. If you can wait, somebody else will do it XHTML and all.

external.php is perfect for it. I use it on my forum and on non forum sites.

Well if I am not mistaken if there is a new reply it will just move the post that was replied to up to the top of the list. If you have set it up for the list to show a portion of the text from the original message then it will only show that from the first message not the last message.

I could only get it to show new TOPICS in the order they were posted, with newer ones at the top.

IIRC it will only output new threads. I may be able to cook up something but it might be better suited as a hack.
