Many thanks to you guys here for releasing some really cool mods and the guys at vB.org for taking the time to do the hacks i am using :)

Its my first board and attempt at vB, so pls be kind but all critism will be taken in a constructive light to help me further improve on my board :)

Colors:

-The description font color is hard to read.
-I think you would need some borders, as you are using the same table color for both alternating table colors.

Layout:

-Pretty much default, but try to incorporate the navbar links and your site navagation in the header somehow. Having two seperate navagations doesn't look appealing.

No need for 2 sets of buttons

I think it would look better with the border around the forum tables

I hate that popup box asking to login or register. Registered members may like having it there to login, but I think it may drive people away who want to look at it before they decide to register or not.

Other then that, it looks nice.

Been undergoing quite a fair amount of coding/design/layout changes for the past months. Not entirely done ( it never is ! :D ), but I would like some comments from fellow site administrators/designers at this point in time :)

Especially on the visual aspect of the forums portion, as in how it can be further spruced up.

Fire away !

Hey cinq,

I like your Article.php. Is it vB Article 1.0.1 with some modifications or another Article script? I'd really like to know. Thanks.

MT

Im looking for hacks like that to make a long stories/short stories page for my site. Nice custom hack you got there, pal!. I really want it but I know it's your custom hack. But I think I can use phpnuke 7.4 to do what I wanted to do. Thanks for letting me know.

Regards,
MT

Imho, no need to get phpnuke all around your vb just to have an article section.
There are article hacks for vb3 released on vb.org
Check it out :)

I installed the article hack a while ago already but it doesn't look like your page http://www.petfrd.com/forum/articles.php . Oh maybe I can edit my vBArticle templates to make it look like yours then. I'll give it a try. Thanks for telling me.
