You CAN remove the footer if you are a premium member. If he is running version 3 beta 2.1 or higher, then he must be a paid member to get that version.

There was a mysql database error when I went there, so I couldn't say.

yep you can remove the copyright if you are a premium member but just because you can run the beta doesnt automaticaly mean you will does it i dont and i've been a premium member for about 2 years...
