Well you can do it without hacking but you introduce HTML injection issues.

Break it down: HTML (Hypertext markup language) can be injected (put into) pages. Not that hard.

I'm saying though that you can inject HTML that way. I know this because my whole awards system at WDF relies on it which is why the awards is just an admin-only-editable profile field.

Easiest way is to add a new profile field and just call it into your profile/postbit or whatever.

yes i know how to do that bit how about adding an input bit to the profile editor and making that show up in the profile???

When you make a new custom field, it automatically appears in your profile. So that link he gave you helps you do two things in about 3 steps.
EDIT: I tried it just now, and it works. Helps identify some guys/gals. lol

thank you i have now done it... all i had to do was use my brain lol that hurts at time but thanks for all your help
