hi guys
this is my first post on this great site.
just purchased vbulletin a few days ago, which is why im here, looking at all these great hacks.
anyway my question is this
check this out
http://www.ukclubland.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=32084
look at the post from "Dan"
u see how in the area where the avatar is, and the area where the text and that is, he has like an image.
dan is the admin at that site, i was just wondering how is it possible to have these images in the avatar section and the actual post section where u type in ur message.
would it be possible to have it there by default, for admins only?
i know i dont explain things very well, sorry for that.
but thanks for your time

lol
ok sorry guys
here goes
the area around the green box
contains like a background image
in the post area
and the area where the avatar icon is, and other info.
now is it possible to automatically have some sort of background in each post, that say a certain user makes?
hope u get what i mean now
as i said, im no good at explaining things

lol
i think you just want a BG in the postbit.
just add background="image.gif" to the <table> tag
globaly in all post, yes you could. If you want it for only certain users or for each user to pick his own you will need to code hack.

mixed terms......do you mean you want the HACK...or the template mod
if the template mod, tony might (;) - Tony)....if the hack - www.vbulletin.org like AL said
It cant be done. its near impossible to do anything with the postbit from phpinclude.

So you absolutely HAVE to use the php include for postbit "uniques"? If not...are you saying you would HAVE to hack the code?

He's saying it's hard for phpinclude code to work in the postbit so you will need to hack the file.
Cypher - Don't mock me! :p ;)

Anything that modifies bits uniquely (postbits, threadbits, forumbits, etc.) almost always has to be done via hacking due mainly to variable scope issues and how vB's template engine works.
