The copyright must read at a minimum: vBulletin, copyright © 2000 - 2002 Jelsoft Enterprises, Ltd.

Better way:
Powered By: vBulletin (Version here)
And then the copyright you have now. Thats how it's used in most places.
but thats stupid. i mean u pay for the software and u still ahve to advertise there site! stupid vbulletin.....even though the forums rock!

Umm, when you buy vBulletin your not paying to remove their copyright. They created it, and so they have the right to have their copyright there. Otherwise peoeple wouldn't be aware copying and distributing it would be Illegal. Thats what happens with all bought things.

forget the copyright, how about up top...the title.
that NEEDS to say Powered by vBulletin, unless you pay like $500 i think it is....which you probably didnt do cause you dont even want their copyright at the bottom.
i suggest you put that back

lol...tis true
but you still must put back the title, cause that is like a major offence.

Seriously now, it's just a 150-pixel-wide, 10-pixel-high tiny string of text giving credit to the hard-working people of Jelsoft for making vB. Unless you want to pay $600, keep it in there.
You can remove " - powered by vBulletin" from the page title, though. Also the text doesn't have to be in the footer, it can be in the header too. As long as it's visible on all pages.
i have it as a footer. and i removed the powered by........ still i mean, they might have worked hard on it, that is why u pay $100 for a year of membership of something like that ~ oh welll....

What you 'supposedly' paid was for the ACTUAL PRODUCT. Not the copyright removal.
I think this has gone far enough. Unless you pay, you cannot remove the copyright from the vB. Topic closed. Thank you.

That is not required.

Thought so, I've seen a few people remove that and nothing happened to them. It's the bottom one that matters the most.
