I just decided to whip up a design following a bunch of the tutorials on this site and was looking for some comments.

Chances are after I get a few suggestions I'll be releasing this style slightly modified free for the people here to download.

Hmm, it's slow loading on your server.

The category images are too light for the scheme. You need more visible borders too IMO.

The scaling header image is nice in concept but looks horrible at high resolutions due to pixelation.

I suggest you code for 1024 X 768, seems to be the most used Resolution behind 800 X 600 and then the bigger ones then 1024 X 768.
