View New Posts on every page

Could someone help me get view new posts to come up on every page? I don't want it on the nav bar. I would like it to come up by itself just like it does on the default main forums page. Thanks.

The easy way to do this would be adding the link to the footer so it would show on every page.

open the footer template.

find:

$copyrighttext

replace with:

$copyrighttext<br />
<a href="search.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=getnew">View New Post</a>
