BTW forgot to mention that the Colspan may depend if you have removed the rating column etc. So just change it to fit your settings. :)

Simple stuff really. Suprised this hadn't already been released. ;)
Yup, 'tis simple, then again most modifications out of the 140 odd in this forum are ;) and this one my friend is a good idea! I like the look of it, never thought of doing it! Thanks for the inspiration :)

tony i see how you have prob with cropping (aka its a huge pic with a lot of white space)
this should help (i asume your using paint cuase good editors remove that junk)
1 crop image
2 selct whats left and move it to the top of the page
3 image->atributes
4 shorten the height/width
and that cuts of the bottom blank spots, but its a trial and error so dont cut off to much. do small amounts a few times to get rid of it all
o and i like it :D
It's really easy with Photoshop :D Just select what you want, Ctrl + shift + E I think, this inverts selection, delete, crtl + shift + d to deselect, ctrl + shift + s to save ;)

I forgot all about that method, it's just that the last time I did use it was a while ago and I tend to forget. Thanks anyway. :)

Change

to
<td align="center" background="image address" bgcolor="{categorybackcolor}" width="80%" colspan="8">

Yes, you can just use the Category Background mod and imply it into that code. :)

there's a slight problem with the link for this hack. If you click on the forumdisplay category link you get this:
No forum specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster

I don't think you can call a link to the forum your in, on the threads list page without hacking AFAIK. I'm not sure, I'll mess with it. Thanks for the report. :)

I removed the link for now. At least it displays the forum name. I tried messing with it to get the link right, but no luck.
