Dont think this can qualify as a mod all your doing is changing the text :/
It still modifies templates, and some people may not know how to do this...

@ chipheo :
CP -> templates -> modify -> than you need to choose your template name (ususal "Default") -> click [expand list] -> scroll down and found "nav_joiner" -> click [change orginal] -> change the template code
i hope i can help you again :)

Editing the navbar, it doesn't seem to apply to all templates that have a navbar.

You have to edit the 'announcement' template to change the navbar for that page.
I hope in vB3 they have cleanly distinguished templates and globally included ones, like navbar, as it would make life easier. I understand that in userCP the same problem occurs of it still being a greater than (>) sign.

you have tp edit the private message template as well to get it changed in there :)
Yep, I know, but I'm too lazy :p

Oh, if you were going to do ALL the navbar's that would be a long modification. Every single page with a navbar would need to be edited. It's not that hard though, I think your up to it n9ne. :)
I don't have enough time anymore to do that...I wish vB would have just put them all using the navbar template...but I guess they didn't...I could try and use search and replace to do it, however I wouldn't be able to release that would I ;)

Everyone, you can easily tell what templates are using the (& gt; ) code by going to the bottom where the template options are and clicking on "Search". Then just type in (& gt; ) without the space in the top field where it only searches for the string and it will bring up a list of forums that have that field in it. Most of them are for the navbar, but a couple handle others things, so be careful.
Just though I'd make life easier on people.
