Forums: http://www.tennesspeed.net/forums
Description:
We are a site dedicated to automotive / motorcycle performance enthusiasts living in or near the state of Tennessee. The site opened it's doors in January 2002 and has quickly grown to a reasonably impressive ~300 members purely by word of mouth.
Design Theory:
Emphasis has been placed on presenting a clean yet visually appealing interface to the users while keeping the page download times as short as possible. Several hacks from the VBulletin.org community have been woven into the site to add useful features and tweaks to the design. You will spot a few tips and tricks from either gleaned from or otherwise showcased here at VBTemplates.
Personal Remarks:
Tennesspeed.net is a work in progress ... as are most of our sites. It is not as flashy as some VB-based sites but I am happy with the overall results. Our users seem to agree based on the rapid growth that the site has enjoyed so far. :)
Comments and suggestions are always welcome!
