[how?] Below Catagory

Hello could anyone help me out. I would like to know how to put an image below each catagory.

I have tried but am going wrong somewhere as it puts the image below each forum rather than each bloke of forums [a catagory]

Any help?

Goto the Forum Home Page Templates set and edit the forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost template,
at the bottom of it, add a new <tr> table row with a new <td> table cell, let it column span to 6. <td colspan=6> and then set a hight to it, close the tags.
In between the tags, you add an <img> image which is actually transparant and set it the same hight.
Now set the color to the td tag to the one you want, (or a background image) and save the template, you are done.

Maybe there is another way, but i only have 15 mins time now, so had to do it the dirty way. I don't understand why this takes you guys more then an hour to figure out.

actually, what I wanted to know is where to put a footer image to close off each category listing, like the example from the link above.

My forum design looks half naked, as if it's wearing a shirt, but no pants... :)

Tried it and it seems to add it under the FORUM - Moderators - Posts - Threads Bit

I can get it to go just below the last catagory you have if you have the online users bit at the bottom.

Just put that below $forumhome

I have tried most templates and still no luck. I tell you it seems so simple yet so hard

You will need to stick something up top as well (maybe move the PM portion of your forum to the top). This will place the images atop all the categories, even the first (so there will be an image stuck at the top).

I have tried to find a way around it, but no luck so far :).

Hum...... this is a tricky one.

I have tried using the same code you use for the top catagory images and modified it to fit the bottom.

I can get it inbetween EACH forum which also includes it at the bottom of the catagory. But i can't get it JUST at the bottom of the catagory. :S

I have tried things in all these templates. I might just be doing it wrong though :S

Ok, I tried some stuff as well and here's what I've discovered thus far.

1. Putting the new <tr> in "forumhome_forumbit_level2_post" places an image after each forum, not after each category.

2. In "forumhome_forumbit_level2_nopost" I can't even find where that code is used, because I see no results.

3. In "forumhome_forumbit_level1_post" I can't see where it has any effect at all (same thing as #2).

4. In "forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost" the image is added right after the forum title bar (aka, "forum," "posts," "thread," etc.


I'm still of the opinion that this may have to be done with a hack. :(

Yeah, maybe, I found out pretty much the same thing. I saw Xaxay does it though, maybe a word from him? Not to be a pain, but it's something I just want the answer to, to prevent it from bugging me further. :)

Yes i got to the stage where i got the images below each forum :(

I also tryed moving the PM box to top and adding images under that but still no luck.

IN Forum home if you add it under the $forumbits it will add it to the LAST catagory and thats it. If there was a way to expand on that then it would work.....:confused:

It works 100% i got it installt on 4 local boards.

Im going to release this one.

The other one on these forums you add it in your forumbit template and it always comes out an extra bottom bar at the top, my way it doesn't

Simply add
