About Your Community:
Blizzforums is a blizzard fansite forum for the combined ORG and Legacy Networks. (sclegacy.com, wclegacy.com, starcraft.org, and warcraft.org) We ran our own custom made forum system until 5/13/02 when we switched to vB. We unluckily lost our DB a few days ago, but have begun safeguards against this ever happening again, and have already recovered most of our member base.

Template Mod's Installed:
More than I can remember. I've installed a large number from both vBT as well as vB.org.

the mainpage looks best of all. the header is cool too. but the colors of the board are a bit too dark for my liking

Looks very nice to me, even for a dark theme ;) - Good luck on BOTM at vB.com :).

As I mentioned at.. ohh, i think it was vb.org, the colors are a bit dark, but you get used to them after a while. Although I still prefer lighter bg forums.. mine just.. isn't. ;)

Look again, you must've visited just as we were switching servers and consequently DNS'.

as of several days ago, the popups were totally removed from the website. it seems like a cookie/cache issue since most of our members report not seeing the popups anymore, while a select few in addition to a couple i've talked to via otehr forums report seeing popups.

don't know what to say. the code isn't there.. so i can't really do much more.. ;)

Very nice forums. I love the header and everything. Like SaintDog, I don't personally like dark themes, but man, this is awesome. Great job!

Hrm.. I'll look into it.

By the way, I set up a script in my phpinclude template which orders the images within the header to change dependent on forumid to a seperate header image i have on the ftp. As such, whenever you enter a starcraft, warcraft, or diablo forum, the header image will be individual. ;)

I like it, a lot better than your old one at least, though I could do without the big white box right in the middle underneath the control panel. Honestly, it stretches out the header, and kind of looks ugly as well, if not distracting.

The ad banner would fit right by the logo just as easy, and a fluid width theme should be able to handle that easy.

Who did the design BTW?

XG3 from sclegacy.com is our graphic artist.

as to the banners, we have to have space for banners up to 760 pixels wide, thus we can't fit them in the header anymore. when vB3 is released we plan to redesign the site, in addition to the fact that we may be moving to a faster, larger, ad-free server in a couple months anyhow.

760? That's very non standard to say the least, no wonder it's a big white box. Any way to make the white transparent, or is it a host thing. If it's a host thing, and they refuse, I don't blame you for moving.

yes, we can't change the white box around the ads, since they rotate between 760 and then smaller versions.

it's a major reason prompting the move.. but it'll take time to set it all up and also establish the new server.. it takes money to run a forum that's big, yeh know. ;)

Yeah, I know. had a very large one, but gave it and the headaches to someone else so I can do what I like to do, as opposed to "serving the public". By the way, getting pop ups again as well. Ugg....

very nice forum, one of the best gaming forums i have seen :) im not a big fan on dark colors but this forum layout is really nice, good job.

Well, it's been over a year since i posted this topic.. ;)
Anyhow, we've moved onto a new design, etc.

What do you all think?
