Some people size theirs different than others, most anime/DBZ websites have huge postbits (mainly because of the 100 RPG hacks out there :)).

IMO there is nothing to be fixed, i've used this mod for a while and never had any problems with it. i attach files all the time, this mod works well, and has never given me any problems :D

I'm using this but for some reason my IP logging/moderator report section is not aligned all the way to the right (it has a space). I'm pathetic when it comes to solving this little html mistakes, but I've installed this exactly as said in instructions.

Anyway, attached is a screenie and if you help me out that would be great ^^

Velocd, it appears that you have a space around the outside of the entire post, not just that one section. I'd recommend that you start a new thread in the support forum and include your postbit template in a .txt file. From there, we can take a better look at the problem and help you find a solution. :)

Oh and please include the screenshot as well.

from looking at the code and also the results, i am just wondering...why so many table cells? there's about 6 cells in that code and i can see theoretically how it can be done with just 3 cells. post[icon], post[title] and post[message] can go in a top cell with a colspan of 2 and then, underneath on the left is post[sig] and post[editedby] and on the right can go post[report] and post[iplogged]

post[attachment] can go either with the message or with the sig but best with the message, i think to keep everything in line.

couldn't this code be optimized better? now, this is just in theory, i haven't tried it my way myself yet but i can tell you from experience the table "height" specifications are oftentimes ignored by browsers when rendering pages and can in fact cause problems in the layout. and three cells makes a world of difference when that section of code is repeated numerous times in a page.

mm installed it but in some cases it makes part of the sig disapear... I aint using it..

Is there anyway that someone could help me incorporate this into a hack I have? When I try this, my Total Time Online hack messes things up.

<td bgcolor="$post[backcolor]" width="100%" valign="top">
<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="border-collapse: collapse" bordercolor="#111111" width="100%">
<tr>
<td width="85%">
<smallfont>$post[icon] <b>$post[title]</b></smallfont></td>
<td width="15%">
<p align="right"><smallfont>$onlinestatus</smallfont></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="100%" colspan="2"><br>
<normalfont>$post[message]</normalfont><p>$post[attachment] </p>
<p>$post[signature]</p>
<p>$post[editedby]</p>
<!-- time online hack [ g-force2k2 ] -->
<p align="right"><smallfont><a href="report.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&postid=$post[postid]">Report this post to a moderator</a> | $post[iplogged]<br><a href='timeonline.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=view_leader'>Time Online:</a> $post[onlinetime]</smallfont></p>
<!-- time online hack [ g-force2k2 ] -->
</td>
</tr>
</table>

Any assistance would be greatly helped.

groovesalad, you're having a problem because the elements aren't in tables.

seperate your sig & edit info from the warning hack... put them in seperate <td>'s.

I do not have this string in my postbit?
<td bgcolor="$post[backcolor]" width="100%" valign="top">
<smallfont>$post[icon] <b>$post[title]</b></smallfont>
<p><normalfont>$post[message]</normalfont></p>
$post[attachment]

<p align="right"><smallfont><a href="report.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&postid=$post[postid]">Report this post to a moderator</a> | $post[iplogged]</smallfont></p>
</td>

so where do I insert this to get it to work?

Thanks

You'll only notice a change if the posts are really short, and normally end up with the signature too close to the message, and the postbit continuing past the signature. All this mod does is align the signature of every post to the bottom of the postbit. (With extremely long posts, the sig is usually there anyways...) :rolleyes:

dstruct2k

This is an example of a pre-mod postbit.

The screen doesnt show much, but I've included one anyway. This was taken using the default style, no changes applied except for this mod.

This mod is great, the sigs appearing in the middle of short posts has always annoyed me to no end.
