How hard would it be to convert a hack to 3.5.x??
Would I have to convert the file edits into plugins or ????
Still lil confused on the new version. ha ha
Thanks,

It depends on what the hack does.

Given that you haven't posted any hacks here, it's hard to judge your experice level. But, speaking from experience, the new code is not nearly as easy to work with as the old stuff. At least not yet.

I found 3.0.x hard when I first came across it last year (mind you, never having used php didn't help).

I've found 3.5 easier to get to grips with than 3.0 ;)
You don't have to convert everything possible into Plugins - There are going to be some parts of some hacks that will require you to edit some files, regardless of whether you want to or not - Plugins simply reduce the number of edits necessary ;)
