Hello Everyone,

right now, I have the Geek Article System 3.52 installed and working great.
I need a system for Reviews.

I have been looking at v3 Articles 1.0.1 - [vB 3.0.1] as well as vbarticles (http://www.vbarticles.com) as well as Reviewpost (http://www.reviewpost.com) It appears from the looks of these three, that any of them will suit the need. I like reviewpost, but dont have $100.00 so that leaves me with the 1st 2.

I'm sure once installed I could go through the phrases and templates and rename whichever one to Reviews, but...

Has anyone installed 2 or more Article addons on a single site? , Are there any unforseen problems or incompatibilities?

Would doing a rename like that, cause copyright problems?

any advice / comments are welcome.

Thoughts?

When you say "reviews" what exactly do you mean ? - AFAIK, Cinq's vbarticles has no ability for users to submit articles, they have to be added via the ACP.

Sure? ;)As far as the current version goes, quite sure (it's not a listed feature, and I did ask in the support topic a while ago) - it's one of the main things I consider missing from it. Of course, I cannot see or comment on what future versions you are developing may have. :)

@tomshawk - I should also point out that as far as the other hack you mention goes (V3 Articles) - while users can submit articles - it is pretty much a dead hack as far as support is concerned, and there is little hope / indication of it being updated to the new vB 3.5.0 (while I am pretty confident cinq's will be). Plus and minus points for both systems.

Its a feature now in the current release.....Well I will have to take your word on that since I don't have it installed - but it is not listed in any documentaion, which is a pretty major oversight if it is actually a feature. It's one of the main reasons I would not consider it as a replacement for v3articles should this not get ported to 3.5.0.

The new version at vbArticles.com has the ability in the Admincp Usergroups for users to submit articles.

I just downloaded it, and tryed the instructions by KTBleeding https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=77022 to change it to a reviews system with no glory. :(

Would you be willing to assist me in this?

This is the error I get just trying to go to the forums/reviews.php page

No worries, actually ever since the release of v2 a few months back, this has already been supported :)
Probably been some time since you checked it out ( I think you looked into it at v1.0.1 )

Probably been some time since you checked it out ( I think you looked into it at v1.0.1 )My apologies for mis-leading the OP then - it is a while since I actually asked - but I checked your feature list when you released 2.0 and it's not mentioned as a new facility. You really should mention it, I'm sure I'm not the only person to simply pass the hack over because it doesn't appear from the features list that users can actually add articles. :)
