This is a sneak preview I am not allowing anyone else to see but since you guys are my buddies I will :)

All work was performed by Cinq & Deathemperor of vbulletin, both did outstanding work and I payed them happily ( and still am! haha ).

The index page is a database created using vbulletin so that users can search our database for clubs, bars, strip clubs, etc, etc. They can search by zipcode/city and/or by keyword.

They are able to upload their own events but we do not allow them to upload establishments. This is done using a backend through the admincp. Very nice dynamic setup.

When new articles are posted within the forums they show up dynamically on the front page, this goes for establishment events and member events as well. We also have a dynamic back end to add/manage news.

As you can see new establishments are also dynamically displayed on the front page and rotate as new ones are added by the staff through the admincp.

The forums match beautifully in my opinion. So far it's fairly basic additions and hacks, we need to upgrade to 3.5 I guess now ( damnit! :) jp ) but I'd like to keep it somewhat simple with a few more hacks I have in mind.

Site goes live July 1st of this year.

www.myspace.com/seventren ( shameless plug!!! :) )

Any suggestions or feedback let me know!

I'm worried alot of people will say that, they're drinks on a bar just cut off a bit to be stylish.

Thanks guys.

Yeah, there is a lot of forums, as you can see we're trying to encompass the entire nightlife scene. Any suggestions on how I should have it laid out instead of how it is now while still having alot of content? I anticipate a large memberbase so I figured it would be okay, but now you have me second guessing it.

Too much red? :( heh. We like it, but I understand.

We don't have any members of posts because we haven't went live with the site so that may be why it looks a bit too big as well?

Yeah, there is too much red. But frankly, if you changed it, it'd be just like the bazillion other forums which use just that bit of red. It's a different colour scheme, but it's unique in that it's solely red. Although, I think if I started at if for so long, my eyes would start hurting. Maybe you can make it a bit more dull - not so bright so when people view it they don't automatically say "eww all this red"

Otherwise, nice. I like your header, your images are nice. Although, you are starting off with way too many forums. Condense to about 10 really, and expand as you get more activity. Too many forums can overwhelm a new member.

Yeah, I'm still worried about that myself. I don't want people to feel overwhelmed, I want them to enjoy it of course. Hmm...

I didn't see any obvious link to your forums on your home page.

Yeah, the community forums link we have now is not sufficient, I agree.

I also took how an entire category ( a total of forum sections ) from my forums, not sure what else to cout out right now.

I like the red; But, I think it's too much red.
Right now, everything looks like a bblurr.

I also like the fact that the site has a fixed layout.

For a "nightlife site", it's really not showing any LIFE.

The header could be improved.
Adding color would liven up the place.
Navigation is poor. It's really hard to distinguish it from static text.

Yeah no life yet because it's not LIVE yet ( July 1st it goes live )

What do you not like about the header? I actually really thought it was stylish and fun.

Explain what you mean about the navigation, I thought about adding some color to some of the links and stuff cause it does look plain.

Thanks!

I like the header image, after you explained it it made a whole lot more sense. :)

I'm sure with life it'll look a whole lot better to a new member.

Thanks, we actually changed the header now, we used people instead of drinks as you can see. Tell me what you think.

Also the navagation on the front page now has community forums in a dull yellow to stick out. What do you think?

Seems like something is missing on that banner.......when you first see the page you really can't tell what the site is about. Kinda gives you the impulse to move on. My photoshop talents are minimal, but it needs to let people know what you are about.

anyway....the site name and description to help burn it into people's brains

I suggested that to my partner, he feels that it is unnecessary. We'll give it a few weeks I think. Thank you for the input though, I appreciate it.

I'm afraid I'll have to say I like your old banner better, the current one seems a bit 'hollow' to me. That was my first reaction. =/
