Can this be sorted out?
at the very least can magnus give his consent for 4.0.4 to be released by noppid, this is hurting a lot of forums including mine, I have £2000 work of kit ready to go live but i can't until i set up the users rides again,
I have the last revision made by magnus, it was good, but noppids version fixed several security holes that my board was being hammered by and also made it usable in the sense i could remove all images from the database which stopped my database overloading itself
there are a lot of people in the same boat as me, I didn't save the original file as I didn't expect this to happen and now i'm in a massive bind

Since some folks feel I'm violating some percieved copyright for my effort to secure and optimize vBGarage, I had to remove it. The frist time I moved it because I was unhappy with the treatment I get from staff.
Now I'm being accused of stealing basicly, so the code is removed until such time magnus states that the code is mine and the idea was his.
I am not a thief and I reset the implication, so this is best for all of us.
Remember folks, this is copyrighted code, you may not reuse it. vBulletin.org will enforce copyrights. I know. Zenon removed one of my hacks in the past for reusing one line of code once. This was aboout a 30 character line of code. Just one line.
So based on that, vBGarage can not work without my file system code, and that's way more then one line of code. I expect my rights to be respected on hundreds of lines of code just like the copyright of that hack was protected for 1 line of code.
I didn't want this, I took over for the benefit of the community. Now It's the staff here holding you back, not me.
I heard of an awesome new hack called vBPicsGallery though..and it looks to be The Beez Kneez!!!
Just something I heard from a little bird somewhere......

1) Sorry Noppid, but i have to set something straight here. You will probably see this as a personal attack again, although i really hope that you can objectively look at what i am now going to say.
2) It was not the staff here that removed the hack from here, or that triggered Magnus to try to take control back (something wich is in first place something between you and him like you also before made clear).
3) It was you who removed the hack from here, for reasons that have nothing to do with vbulletin.org, or vbulletin.org Staff. That is what started this all, so don't try to play innocent towards the users of the hack, like it is all beyond your control.
Please correct me if i am wrong.
With Regards,
MArco
1) I'm used to the personal attacks. I see it everyday here. It's really old too.
2) I stated I removed it. PERIOD. Nothing to reclaify there.
3) Sir, you are not articulate enough to twist my words, so please stop trying.
I removed my hacks because of the stall here and at vbulletin.com for treating me exactly the way you are. There are links to this treatment from other members too, not just me, pointing out the unfairness.
I can link you to many many personal attacks on me, by staff, where it was no one's business.
Plesae stop trying to be a smart guy, you don't have the writing skills. I'm really tired of seeing staff here play child psychology. I beat my kids at that game everyday and I'll beat you too.
Amazing, more disappearing posts where I'm attacked.
Can this be sorted out?
I've tried with no success. Sorry.

thankyou noppid very much for helping me,
this issue has to be addressed, in the car scene vbgarage is widely used amongst forums, as far as I saw it magnus dropped this project and noppid was kind enough to step up to the plate fix numerous bugs and then improve on the source, he left in all credits to the previous coder, in my eyes he violated no copyright or licenses (there were no licenses in place in the code header) he simply hepled out numerous individuals who liked vbgarage and wanted some enhancements made,
I hope he rereleases a new version of image software like this with more improvments, I would go as far as to support this project with donations if they were asked for.
thankyou noppid once more.

This is an issue between Magnus and noppid. As far as I know, Magnus wrote the original vBGarage script. noppid was helping him with it. As the original author (and thus the copyright owner), as you would expect, it would be up to Magnus to decide who can continue to update or release it. I suggest that members contact Magnus in relation to his code. If noppid wants to continue to update the code, he will need permission from Magnus. I don't know the details of the issues between Magnus and noppid and it is none of our concern here - we basically follow the law and do the best we can with the information we have. Obviously we have the interests of the community at heart and we also have to ensure we break no intellectual property laws. Thank you all for understanding. I am closing this thread since this appears to be a private member between certain members.
