Style question...

I have 1 style I use currently for all users.. They dont get the option to change.. Well.. I am creating another style which I decided to make a child style of the one I have been using forever... I did this so I wouldnt have to go through and modify all the templates for the hacks I have done...

Well.. I figured, while I design this, I will assign it to myself.. even as an admin, I couldnt choose it but I went to the admincp and changed my user to use this new style.. Worked great.. I designed the style up to a certain point and then got busy with work.. Anyway, I made a mod of mine an admin and gave him style admin rights.. He switched to the new style and all worked fine...

He finishes the style and decides that all moderators be switched to this new style so we couldnt discuss it in our private forums.. Noones styles work.. Except mine and the mod I made an admin... I tried making another of my mods an admin, and poof.. It works for him...

I figure someone is going to know what I am doing wrong.. Hopefully... :)

Are there permissions to set or something?

I might sound dumb ... but I don't understand your problem?

Well.. I am ultimately hoping to make this a choosable style by all the users... But if they have to be an admin for it to work, that isnt going to work for me. ;)

Sorry.. I should have explained my intentions with the style

ACP / vBulletin Options / vBulletin Options / Style & Langage Settings: Allow Users to Change Style set to Yes?

ACP / Styles & Templates / Style Manager: The checkbox next to the Style is ticked?

Nope.. I didnt think I would need that on, but it probably will fix the problem.. I guess it makes sense though why only admins would work..

Well, if you want Users to choose this Style you must allow them to change Style :)
If you just want to assign this Style to everyone, set it as Board default.

Well.. I was hoping to be able to assign just mods for the moment, but nope.. :)

It seems obvious (and I should have tried it before posting) but you can see my point..

If you want only certain Usergroups to be able to use certain Styles - I wrote I hack for that:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=82410

This allows you to specify which usergroups can use a Style.
