What exactly is the qualification for getting into this vote ?
The reason I ask is that I notice one of my plugins is in the June vote after only being released for 5 days. I always thought that the entries in a months vote were hacks released in the previous month - i.e. The hacks in the April vote were released in March, those in the May vote were released in April, etc.

Maybe the rules have changed now that vB 3.5 is out?

the hotm takes the threads with most installs from last 5 weeks.
it could happen, that new released threads are in there, because they really got a lot of installs within the first week ;)

I think you should consider a seperate hotm for new hacks and 3.5.0 ports, otherwise I think the next few months are just going to see popular 3.5.0 ports hogging the vote.

I agree with Paul's statement, it kind of negates the users of 3.0.x until they get on the bandwagon...

I totally agree with paul and cr to, but I also think that there is a list of priorities to do, I think this hack db they are working on is almost #1 :P.

I think that the HOTM is a great way to reward original thinking, and if it just becomes a rehash of the same old hacks every thime there is an update it will take away from the innovation and new ideas.
