Phpcow looks like a great product. It is and it is not. It is a great product if you only want to use their software. It is NOT a great product or a good one if you want to use it with VBulletin. (I have run the 7 day trial).
The software is not open and is protected by Zend. You cannot change it to use your forums. Notice that in the above mentioned post, FDX shows 4 websites using phpcow. Only problem is none of the 4 sites are using Vbulletin. So why would FDX be posting here?
Unless Phpcow opens up the software it is not even worth $50 for VB users. I would be willing to pay the $500 if it used my forums. If I could manipulate it to my needs. In fact, if someone would make a cross between Phpcow and VBportal I would be in heaven.
