Hey all, not sure if vb.com's the place for this, but my board's hacked quite a lot, but I don't think the bug some of my users are experiencing is related to any of them.

Occasionally, forum images will be swaped around. Now this has never happened to me unfortunately, but since several users have complained on several occasions now, it's time something be done.

Example:

http://www.uci.net/%7Ebrickfam/wtf1.png

Here the 'sticky' image has been replaced by an image that was posted in another thread with [ img ] code. The attachment paperclip image has been replaced with the 'thread' image.

Another example:

http://www.uci.net/%7Ebrickfam/wtf2.png

Here, the reputation images have been replaced by usergroup indicators, also another poster's avatar, the stars and beers is replacing the online indicator, reputation button and report post button.

Since this has not happened to me and I havn't had many reports of this happening that have screen shorts too, I can't spot a pattern.

Users have emptied their cache with no effect.

Does anyone have any ideas about this, what templates could be playing up or even if this could be a server issue?

Thanks a bunch :)

You are most likely hotlinking those images from somewhere, and they are pissing about with image swapping code.
If not, then j00 have been h4x0r3d and should try reuling the original images.

Nope, only one of the images ( to chav or to chav not ) was hotlinked. The rest of the images are all internal.

I'd examine the source code and such, but this has only ever happened to a few of my users :/

Or would people call this a server or other error?
