View Full Version : How to update a replacement via scheduled event?

I just recently upgraded to the VBulletin 3.0.7 (from a 2.9 version) so I've been taking a crash curse in the changes over the last few days.

My situation: I am trying to grab a snippet of HTML code (a link to a news item) and place it in the header of my style. I figured the best way to do this would be to create a replacement of {front_page_news_goes_here} or something to that effect, and write a script that could update the replacement (with a scheduled event running that script every 15 minutes or so).

However, it seems even updating the style table with the exact contents it currently has for the replacements value gives me errors.

Warning: array_keys(): The first argument should be an array in /includes/functions.php on line 2128

Warning: Empty regular expression in /includes/functions.php on line 2128

Can anyone give me a heads up on if this is possible to do, or if there is an easier way to achieve my ultimate goal? Or perhaps point me in the right direction on how to create such a script to cleanly update a replacement value easily.

Thanks!
