this should be in place now so its more organized in finding these addons when they just start flooding in.

so you really want to go through all the files and place them where they need to be?

I think it would be best to have subforums :)

We are going to use a different system to categorize hacks which will make things easier to sort and find. We haven't yet implemented it yet but we hope to do this soon.

I look forward to that Erwin! :)

I'm assuming just for 3.5+?

Since hundreds if not thousands of hacks have been released for 3.0 and 2.x it would not be possible to apply these changes to the older hacks.

We need to do this ASAP before more 3.5 hacks are released. ;)

erm, i'm thinking of a way to get that automatically added for the older releases as well ;)

as for the subforums, i think during the time until we have the new system in place, they will stay, or come for 3.5 as well.

but not during the beta stage, that' would make things too cluttered.

That's a good point Stefan. :)

When did "vB3.5 Plugins" get added as a subforum to "vB3.5 Code Mods & Plugins" ?

IMO it's in the wrong place and should move up a 'level" - it's lost as a subforum.

There are also some plugins in the code mods forum that probably should move.

On the other hand, it makes it easier to search the parent forum and include subforums for hacks - 2 separate forums mean you have to search twice.

... hey hey... looks like Erwin is not aware of the multi-selections in the system.. ;)

just hold CTRL and select multiple forums to search all.

:embarassed:

I didn't think of that...

In that case... I'll move it out - Stefan put it as a subforum, we'll see what he thinks when I move it. ;)

putting another suggestion in this thread, is it possible to add an option to ignore threads from all vb 3.5 forums ?

It is of no use currently for many users, as the same is in beta stages

Thanks.

sorry, but nope.

we are currently worinkg behind the scenes to get a better system when 3.5 is gold, and regarding the fact vb.org wants to upgrade to 3.5 as well, no more hacks which are not really needed will be added.
