View Full Version : Nu Torrent Tracker 0.74

Finally, my bittorrent tracker for vBulletin has reached a somewhat betaish level. Meaning, it functions but some things are still missing like AdminCP Category Editing and so on. But only a few. All needed things are there and it works well as I've been running it on my board for a month now.
I decided to write this thing after firsthand witnessing the problems with VBTT and what was first meant to be quite simple turned out into a full fledged tracker with features like commenting, rating, etc.
Note that this is a beta which means it has only been tested on one system AND I won't be responsible if you go blind from the messy code. But hey, it works! :nervous:
I don't have any screenshots but you are welcome to come and check out the live demo at: http://www.tokyo-nights.com/nutt
Heck, I'll even throw in a test user for ya:
user: kjustice
pass: useme
I'll prolly be updating the distro as I find and fix bugs. When the instructions say so or if you wish to, you can uninstall it by going to /forum/admincp/nutt_install.php?step=uninstall
0.74 - Made upload use vB's new thread function to fix the nasty apostrophe issue in 0.73
Changed:
upload.php
0.73 - Improved conditions for users the tracker reports as 'unconnectable'.
Changed:
announce.php
0.72 - Added a function to fix the navbar urls.
Changed:
functions.php
nutt_global.php
0.71 - Fixed a bug in details.php.
Changed:
details.php

very cool- thanks for sharing- I will try installing it later and will let you know how it went.
I just tried logging in to your site, and all I get is a "document not found" error message after I enter the supplied user and pass

EDIT: I'm deeply sorry for any problems you had. Dumb me forgot to mention the file edits in the readme and some bugs were in too. This zip should work. Atleast, I hope it does :nervous:

... kinda cool to see a real torrent tracker here...
but as you talk about VBTT, what's the difference with it ?! i see that the files structure and protocol is completely different, but what is the difference between your tracker and the usual trackers we see about everywhere (BNBT, TT ...) ?!
afusion
06-07-2005, 03:50 PM
Well I haven't had much experience with BNBT (since it's in C++) or any of those but what I consider to be NuTT's biggest strength is it's complete integration with vBulletin. Not yet complete but deeper than other trackers.
GoTTi
06-07-2005, 04:22 PM
yea this is agreat idea....
also a good way to get your site removed and yourself sued :)
Lynne
06-07-2005, 04:27 PM
Da_GoTTi, there are *legal* torrents you know.
afusion, it looks like you forgot to add some phrases. None of the ones in the usergroup permissions show up. I have the yes/no radio buttons, but not the phrase for what they are for. I looked in the phrase xml file and they aren't there.
nexialys
06-07-2005, 04:33 PM
if you get sued just because of the torrent thing, Microsoft, IBM, Bungie(our good old Halo) and other big companies will be too, because they use that protocol to spread their softwares... most of the online gaming you play with actually are using similar torrent protocol to exchange files...
the only point with torrent and legal threat is the same with any other software where you can download something... ftp, afp, etc... all files protocol have pirates on 'em...
torrent is great to share films between users... a clan of gamers can share the same films of their games when they have them on a torrent tracker per example... it's bigger for a server to host ftps...
afusion
06-07-2005, 04:43 PM
^ well put, nexialys, thank you...
Lynne, and all the rest: yes, I am a moron. Updated the zip once again with some missing phrases.

06-07-2005, 05:00 PM
@afusion, i suggest you to versionish your release, to keep us updated on the version number you are on... if you make updates, we then know...
actually, a 0.7b is good, as you're about 70% sure of the content, and is in beta stage... when you have all the content inserted and so, a 1.0b would be good ... ;)
afusion
06-07-2005, 05:13 PM
ok, changed it to 0.6 since there seems to be some weird bug with people... strange that it doesn't appear on my server...
more specifically, this query is ruining my life:$DB_site->query("DELETE FROM nutt_peers WHERE last_action < $deadtime");either it says the table is not found or the syntax is incorrect :tired:
nexialys
06-07-2005, 05:27 PM
$DB_site->query("DELETE FROM " . TABLE_PREFIX . "nutt_peers WHERE last_action < '$deadtime'");.. table prefix is missing, and protect your entry content with " ' " ...

Okay, I know what BT is, and what it's for. What does this do?
Pardon my noobism, but I haven't used any file sharing stuff since Napster was real.
I assume this tracks a torrent server if you're running one?
nexialys
06-07-2005, 05:33 PM
@ds... no, actually, this is the "server"...
a tracker only keep track of the hash that identify each files shared on it... a BT never host any file but the hash that identify the files...(with some details like file size, structure, url for the tracker...)

So if I installed this, would it affect bandwidth WITH file transfers or just with the data ABOUT the files and ongoing transfers?

Okay, but I'm still not sure. So this hack would only track the files, not actually pass them, right?
If so, do we know how much traffic that generates?
nexialys
06-07-2005, 06:22 PM
1- the tracker keep the files hash in store, in file or database format.
2- users that download these files hash will be in continuous contact with your server to keep the tracker up-to-date for the statistics... that's the big problem with this system. some new systems never update their stats if you can't finish a download, so there is less contacts with the tracker... but you have always a contact with the server, so there is a lot of bandwidth if you host hundreds of files...
i actually host myself 3 trackersfor 3 softwares companies... they are very server intensive, but they pay for it... and they are only distributing their own softwares. ... yes, the more we see companies distribute their games or softwares with torrentbit format because it's less server intense than a ftp...
but you have to know what is your market before starting... if you have games or big images, you will havea lot of leechers, not much seeders...
dsboyce8624
06-07-2005, 06:38 PM
Okay I don't want this then. I thought it was just a tracking thing, and I don't wanna tear up my bandwidth.

Well said, nexialys. It's funny how it becomes automatically associated with piracy because it's a protocol used for it. There are plenty of legitimate files being transfered with BT, it's just that you never hear about it unless there is a law suit.

If you mean external torrents as in with a different main tracker set in the announce url then no, not yet but it is coming soon in future versions since all I have to do for that is write the scrape interface.
And about the zip - coming up very soon, all bugs with the installation are already sorted out now just a few file changes.

that fixed the errors.. thanks much! works great! However, I tried deleting the upload that got a database error via the NUTT maintenance php, but nothing was deleted, it was still listed as an "unseeded" torrent. Is there any way to reset all of the uploads, including unseeded torrents? Also the ability to add comments, etc. seems to be not working in this version for some reason.
afusion

The only deletion option in nutt_maintenance is to delete all threads generate by NuTT. To delete the torrent itself you have to make sure you got the permissions to do so (Usergroup Permissions) and do it via the details page, in the bottom there should be an edit area.
And the comments don't work how exactly? The New Comment link is broken or... ?

you need to manually create a forum for NuTT torrent threads and then specify the forum id in NuTT Settings

hmm by the sound of it, it seems another lil bit got missing in the instructions...
you need to manually create a forum for NuTT torrent threads and then specify the forum id in NuTT SettingsI did that, and then put the link to the NUTT in the forum settings, so when people click on the forum link they will go to http://mysite.com/nutt As I said I am able to upload the torrent, etc. successfully, so the forum has been created. Now my members are telling me that they can download the bittorrent file, but it isn't connecting to the seeded file (and yes, I am seeding it with the new torrent as mentioned in the NUTT after you upload the file).
IS the TORRENT DIRECTORY supposed to have a trailing slash or not (in the NUTT settings). I see that it says to not add one to the NUTT URL, but not sure if the TORRENT DIRECTORY is supposed to have one. how about the NuTT's root directory?
afusion

Now, just to avoid confusion download the attached testvars.php, upload it to /nutt, run it and send me the output.

The problem with the forum commenting I had was that I had the forum set as a link instead of a forum, so people couldn't leave a comment... I changed it to a forum and all is well as far as that goes, but guests still are having a problem connecting to the seed... I am sure it is an end-user error (on my part) and we will get it straightened out

so how many have installed it? is it working well?
is it like VBTT that sqrtboy made or is it better? It seems to be leaner yet more robust and less awkward than VBTT, though it would be nice to have:
real time ul/dl speed on the tracker, on each torrent, and for each peer
display each user upload and download statistics in user panel
ratio tracking and user banning according to some ratio rules
stats retrieved from any user, with graphs associated
the ability to keep the original file name, rather than rename to a number (and this would help avoid any seeding confusion)

1. real time ul/dl speed on the tracker, on each torrent, and for each peer
2. display each user upload and download statistics in user panel
3. ratio tracking and user banning according to some ratio rules
4. stats retrieved from any user, with graphs associated
5. the ability to keep the original file name, rather than rename to a number (and this would help avoid any seeding confusion)1. I used to have something like that included but I removed it since most of time it was completely incorrect.
2. That's definitely coming up along with users download history
3. Well it already has a wait time system but I suppose I can add a lil cron job.
4. Isn't that basically the same as 2?
5. The browser can be tricked into thinking it's any filename you want though I think server-side they should be numbered. Otherwise it would add a query when downloading the .torrent. A rather nasty query looking at the fancy names people tend to use.

I uploaded the new announce.php file, but it still won't let me connect to other users - it says that I am not connectable. I am able to connect using other torrent sites, as well as at afusion's site, so I don't think it is a firewall issue here. As I said I added the updated announce.php file, but it still doesn't seem to be connecting when I try to download files that others have posted on my site.
Also- I noticed that one person who was trying to seed a file is showing up as a peer, and not a seed, when I try to grab the file.

Well like I said, it can easily be made so that server-side the torrent is numbered but when downloaded, it's properly named. Anyways, gonna include that in the next update since I can't have an update over every little thing.

is there anyway to unblock the blocked ports? bittorrent is a popular client, but the hack FAQ says that certain ports are being blocked when people are attempting to connect to the tracker to seed. So far I have only had one successful download among all of the people who tried to connect, and they were able to connect at around 40 kbs - most of them are getting a login error when attempting to click on the torrent names, and other are getting no connection or 0 kbs

although it's for their own good to use alternate ports, will do so soon...

now to more serious issues... here is the current planned list of things for future versions:
External torrents
Torrent reuploading
Improved browsing (option persistency)
Detailed user stats (including torrent history)
AdminCP Category Editor
AJAX Torrent Editing
After I get these done, I probably won't work on NuTT atleast until autumn because I've long had a huge project for my board planned and just waiting for vB 3.5. Since it's out, I can start the project and it will definitely take months. So I'll add these features, make NuTT as bugfree as possible and stop for a good few months. And for anyone wondering what more besides that is there to do anyway: ALOT! There's always room for improvement and I've got some nice things planned for when ever I continue the work on it.

One thing, this seems to work ok, I haven't tested it yet, but why do you need to give it a forum ID .... when I give it the ID code #60, and go to that forum, there's nothing there ... what do I have to do, make it a link to the /nutt directory?
Or am I just missing something simple.
Thank you so much for this, I've been waiting for a working BT Tracker for ages ... respect sir :D

I am on the verge of uninstalling this hack, since so far there has only been one successful connection despite numerous efforts from numerous users. The succesful connection was at 40 KBPS, and the download finished fine, but since then there have been no successful connections from other users. Also- one other user was seeding a file, and when I tried to connect it listed them as a peer, and it said they only had 16% of one file, and 96.7% of another file (when they obviously had the whole thing since they were seeding). afusion claims that my Bittornado client is my problem, so I tried other torrent clients, including azureus, with no luck (and Bittornado is never a problem on any of the other trackers that I connect to). I appreciate the efforts and help of afusion, and his willingness to share, but I think that this hack obviously needs a lot more work until it is ready (thus the Beta Release status), so I will wait until the final release, if there is one, to try again, unless anyone has any ideas how to fix these problems in the meantime.

I seriously doubt NuTT is the problem. How would I be running a tracker on my site with almost no problems usually averaging at 700 peers?
Actually, I recommend you to uninstall this hack.... and then make a clean install with the latest distro.

working fine for me, seeding with bittornado at home and azureus at work. 5 seeds and 14 leechers right now. I did a clean install yesterday to run the lastest version and besides errors on my part it has worked fine

I uninstalled and then re-installed using the latest files (re-uploaded to my server). I set the permissions to allow Admins and Mods to be able to connect to the tracker, and I uploaded a torrent. This morning I went to the tracker to see how it was doing, and I was taken to the login page, saying I did not have proper permissions to access the file. I went to the control panel and checked and Admins still have the ability to do anything on the tracker, however now I can't even log in to the torrent tracker via my forum! arrgh

Does this script automatically create a thread announcing a new torrent in a forum?
If so, a suggestion: in the forum where it makes the thread, can it post them in subforums? I.e. say you added a new torrent to the mp3 category, can there be a subforum in the downloads forum called mp3 which is where the thread is announced?
If that's not possible, at the very least, can the thread have the picture next to it in the forumdisplay (i.e. mp3, album, etc)?

I am having some of the same problems and have tried the same solutions with little success.
I just want to contribute so hopefully it will help towards a better hack for all.
I am testing this on vBulletin v3.0.3.
1. the image folder gets set to the wrong path
2. the upload template is missing category - which results in error for incomplete info
3. getting a you don't have permission error and promts for login when trying to run details.php
4. getting "Parse error: parse error, unexpected '{' in /xxxx/xxxx/public_html/xxxxxx/nutt/testvars.php on line 17" when trying to run testvars.php

Hmm. There's a JavaScript error on the actual torrent page... mucks up the "Rate" torrent bit.
Also, I can't seed. I upload the torrent, then download the torrent and load it up. My BT client gives this error:
Error: Bad Tracker Response Header: HTTP/1.1 404... in Tracker: http://www.siteurl.com/vbulltest/nutt/announce.php/59061d6947bc34e6eb8d35383e6e48d2/passkey

Does this addon require any special additions in php.ini? Because I've tried everything, but it keeps giving a 404 on announce.php/whatever/passkey. I've uninstalled, reinstalled (including checking the file-edits again), moved the nutt dir inside and outside of /forum/ folder... but nothing's making it work.
I know I'm making the torrent files okay because I added a test torrent to the preview site and it worked fine...
When I go to:
http://www.siteurl.com/nutt/announce.php/blahblahblah/passkey
on Outdoor's and afusion's sites, it gives an error (rightely so). When I go to the same on mine, I get a 404 :(
Thanks.

TopeeGuy
06-14-2005, 04:33 PM
The bittorrent client... I upload a torrent, download the torrent from the system, open the torrent up in my torrent client, find the finished file on my computer so I can seed it, and then the bittorrent client tries to announce the seed to http://www.siteurl.com/nutt/announce.php/blahblahblah/passkey but gives a 404 error... When I tried downloading a torrent from your site, the above URL gave a PHP error (which is fine) and not a 404...
Very very strange problem it seems :(

I have been using VBTT since its was created, I had basically no problems with it and I've had great support from the author.
He's made the VBTT open source now which is a good thing, I think....
I want to upgrade my site and it and I know VBTT doesn't support the newest version of vB.
Sorry for rambling....
How does this differ from VBTT?
I have my tracker setup so paying members can only use it, can this one be used that way also?
thanks

Hey! No more VBTT advertising here, ok?
In other news, 0.8 with some considerably big improvements coming up by the end of next week. Along other features, known port block has been changed to an option and you can change between IP and Passkey validation if you are having problems with the passkey system's /announce.php/PASSKEY/passkey/?info_hash=.... URL format.
Also, any problems people have reported about being unable to connect should be gone with 0.8

Also, php or the server software might not be returning the port correctly or not at all.
If you were getting many users listed as unconnectable then it was most likely a server side issue.

Actually, after 0.8 which is coming up soon, I am shifting to 3.5
Also, I have to say, I know it, well, sucks (I'd know, I had to do it myself too) but installing 0.8 will require you to wipe all your current torrents. That's due to a one time change in the torrent structure.
Sorry for any inconvinience, this is the only time I'm gonna ask you to do this.
On a sidenote, the server-client side of NuTT on my server has been running on 0.8 for almost a week and there are no complaints so far from my users.
The GUI has also gotten some iprovements, especially on the performance side.
So basically, I just need to add some features I've been long planning and after that I can release it ;)

0.74:
Complete integration with vB
Categorized torrent browsing
Comprehensive torrent details page
Torrent rating
Forum integrated commenting
Wait time system
Passkey identification instead of IP-based
0.80:
IP and passkey banning
Usergroup permissions using vB's usergroups
Announce and scrape (the parts that clients connect to) have been completely reworked and should work flawlessly for all clients and almost all servers
Online peer browser
Torrent download history
and some more I can't remember right now...
Well, I'm planning 0.8 as the last 3.0.x release so I'm going to try to get it resemble a Release as much as possible.

Ok after a little playing about i found the NuTT options at the very bottom of VB options
Can i suggest 2 things :
1. An auto detect of the install script to check if its installed - and go to uninstall if its already installed ( i had a problem finding uninstall )
and
2. A better explanation in the install manual as to where the NUTT settings are - i checked the left side of the panel for ages and nothing there , i eventually went to VB Options and it was there at the bottom - once configured , it all worked ok (not that ive fully tested it yet)
Thanks for this by the way .. could be pretty cool if it all works well

I want to make it look like the tracker is a whole seperate section of my site apart from the forums , but i dont think i can do that if the tracker is seen on both the forums and the main tracker section ?
Might be an option in the next version.
I changed the catagories in the sql and all seems great now

i would think ... double check all the instructions once more - write them down as u do them and tick them as u check them ... and make sure its all working ok - is it a windows or linux server , what version of PHP u using ? and have u got all of the settings correct and everything uploaded ?
I just found a small bug in the scripting .. where it says rows on the index page ... for the torrent types ... if you type in 3 , after the first 3 it drops to the next row , but after that it keeps going on the same row... just another tiny edit for the next version.

thats the thing i checked double checked.. heck i even wiped out my board and datbase and re-edited all my files and followed everything to the letter thats why im at a loss.. i keep getting the original error i posted now..
i eel like demolishing this computer , all i want to know is where the error is comming from.. i even called my host and they say they cant find any errors in what i did, but that they dont see any files that are trying to connect to the database.
im about to give up.

I commented this bit on the Upload.php and it seems to let me upload from any tracker now ... havent tested to see if they actually work yet but they do upload no problems

Im not sure if this would be a help to anyone , and itll prob be included in the next version anyway , but i did a quick script for myself to edit the catagories in version .74 - its 3 new files , and one replaced file (just one line edited at the bottom to add in a link to the catagories section)
Anyway , it will let you edit the catagories , delete some , and add in new ones ... hope it works ok for everyone .. the connect.php is needed as im unsure of the codes for VBB to connect the the database , but ill learn that soon.

1) I created a forum and specified its forum id in the nutt settings .. however when i click on the forum link it doesnt goto /nutt any idea why its doing that?

1) The forum is for torrent commenting functions. It's supposed to be a normal forum.
2) You need to set the announce URL in the settings.

i think im just gonna switch to VBTT just because of the lack of support on this one, the hack author hasnt answered anything significant to my problem or anyones in more than a week. the problem i was having has nothing to do with the the announce url not being in the nutt settings.. i set that up more than 5 days ago.. there is clearly a problem with something else.. i think that if you as a hack author are going to tick the supported button than you should support it. otherwisse let people know that you cant support it due to lack of time or otherwise. this is the worst support i have ever had on any hack.
anyone considering this hack understand that there is NO SUPPORT.
and if the hack author comes only now to rebutt this post, than clearly he is showing that he has enough time for debate but not for support????

I'm sorry for any inconvinience I might be causing but I've got barely the time to do everything. When I clicked that button, things were a lot calmer but now however, whenever I am online, I need to deal with my server being a complete WooHoo from Mars while also trying to make 0.8 look decent enough to roll it out here.
And before you say it, yes it's easier to babble here to than to answer your questions. This reply was made up in a whooping 0.4s!
Anyway, I reckon I'm gonna unclick support now until 0.8 because I'm gonna have gray hair before I resolve every issue with 0.74 since it's a beta.

.74 looks good so far afusion , and seems to work on the basic install , bar that prefix issue - i have it all installed and running fine , but im not releasing it to my members until torrents can be uploaded from any tracker and that catagories part fixed so we can choose our own ... everything else really seems fine to me
Sketch - sorry i couldnt be more help, but i can see things from afusions point of view as well - his life cant really revolve around this hack , and real life has to take a preference , its just a pity u felt ignored in the process.
Id say wait till version .8 is out and give it a try again - a lot of small things should be fixed by then.

i was just felt that if its being advertised as supported it should be. obviously not 24/7 but its been more than a week .. and it was an error holding me back from doing anything else on my forum. had i known from before it wasnt supported full time meaning wouldnt get an answer at least once every 2 days i woldve most likely just waired until it left beta, or if i had problems with the install i wouldve just uninstalled it from the beggining and waited for the stable release. my rant was mainly at the fact that it was advertised as supported and it wasnt. thats all. now that he showing that its unsupported id wait till .8 is released at least.

James - they have to be torrents you create yourself from your own tracker , and not a torrent you get from another site . the files have to be your own , as far as i know

Time for an update...
Life has been extremely busy and vB 3.5 RC3 is coming out soon so I've decided to move on to 3.5 with NuTT. It will be an almost completely new version with many new features and improvements like...
AJAX editing
A lot cleaner and nicer interface
A big amount of configurability via the AdminCP including settings, usergroup permissions, category editing and more...
A lot of stats about everything you want to know and more ranging from tracker activity, to torrent activity, to a connected peers browser; all with cool, flashy pie charts ^^
and much more...
Now if I were to be talking about any release date, I'd be lying straight in your face so it will just be done when it's done. I know this though - it's after 3.5 goes Gold and before October ^^

I have a question. Is that detailed seeder/leecher info in a persons profile only available in the current version on Nutt you are working on or is it also available one the one that is up. When I clicked a persons profile, I did not see any torrent info in it at all. Did I screw up somewhere on the install.
EDIT: Ya, I personally would really like a copy of that advanced version of the tracker you're making for vb ver 3.07 or 8. Im also not ready to upgrade to version 3.5 yet.

That is something to do with the fact that user.port doesn't exsist in the database, and look at the same error I got the next two after it don't exsist either, I tried to create user.port but I'm no expert with MySQL ... so I'm just gonna either leave it or uninstall it ... which is a shame cos it's an awesome addition, just a shame that now 3.0.x users will get left behind cos of 3.5 :(

If any of you know how to code, we may add a coder or two to help create a much better version of the tracker. Currently, the tracker on my site is only a slightly modified vB3.5 version of the one found here, so if someone can devote their time and has some experience with php/mysql (preferably someone who's released some hacks as "proof" of their skill), feel free to post here or contact me ;)

Ive asked and he said after January. All other writers for similar scripts say 3 weeks then after that they say 3 weeks. I dont think anyone cares anymore. Meanwhile the only site I know of that has a torrent tracker for vbulletin 3.5 is Tokyo Nights. Made by this author and he doesnt feel its ready although its being used. Looks to be working quite well to me.

That's a fairly broad assuption. I can say this much: the current setup at Tokyo-Nights isn't nearly as good as it once was with the 3.0.x version we once had (since at the moment, we're just using slightly modified 3.0.x NuTT code). Because of this, afusion has had to work from the ground up to create a new and much better version of the tracker. The thing is that since he's the only one coding this, along with such things as school and life affecting how much time he has, it's not like he's coding this 24/7. I mentioned exactly a month ago in this thread that if someone can code and help with this, it would make this progress faster. Unfortunately, not one person contacted me in regards to this, so it'll be released when it's released.

I understand that. I just meant that al the other coders for similar hacks have been dodgey about it. However Noin (afusion) has been the only one to give a difinitive after January answer. Also he is the only one that shows some progress. I used to be fairly good with these things. However 3.5 has me confussed as anyone else. I just dont understand the hooks system. Id be happy to work on it myself. But it would be helpful to have something to work with. Why would I want to start from this code if hes already gotten it to run on 3.5? I'd rather work on a halfway working version than a totally non working version. Last I checked this was a beta release still.

I see the new release of XT as a replacement for NuTT, it looks awesome!
Will it be released to the world at large or shall we give up hope on having this nicely integrated vb tracker?

Unfortunately, afusion currently doesn't have any plans for making this public since he's busy with school these days and doesn't have the time to work on it nearly as much as he used to (which basically would result in people here asking questions about issues with it and not getting a solution).

I don not like when people say "wait" and then we wait and we wait and we wait, and after one year and a half they say this... its a lack of respect.

Neither do I, but I didn't code this. I'm the admin/owner of the site which XT currently resides in, so I can't control what afusion decides on his hacks. As I said, he doesn't have plans on releasing it, but it's not to say that it'll be like this forever, esp. once he finishes school in a month or so.

Though a note saying what was going on would have been appreciated, him screwing over school to make a bunch of random internet people happy would be silly.
It's a lack of respect to expect him to cater to your needs. If/when it comes out, cool. I've been looking forward too it for a while. Hope he does well with his studies.

And to the one who said im a twat, plase, be respectful, read the rules or leave vb.org.

The version running on my site is still in testing stages, as some things aren't working too great (such as the RSS feed which shows torrents dated as Jan 1970). Since I had asked months ago in this thread for help and no one truly volunteered, things are getting done at afusion's pace (who is currently MIA since he's in the Netherlands atm). If someone here knows enough php/mysql to help with this project, something can be arranged. For now, there's no definite plan of releasing this publicly.

Sorry for taking ages since the last update.
Thing is, in the beginning of the year I switched to XBTT for a backend and my tracker is now used just as a frontend for XBTT so to run the current version you'd need a dedicated server and a possibility to run XBTT.
Also, with the next version I'll be moving completely away from vB and PHP over to Ruby on Rails so basically, the version here is the last generally available version.
Sorry to let you people down but as the site grew, the requirements grew and that's how it went.
Apologies.

The tracker that was on my site will be removed shortly as Noin (aka afusion) decided to mess with my site and go as far as changing the SSH login and deleting our database. Luckily, I had a database backup from hours prior, but the mess he made caused many members to assume the site was gone due to another admin and myself figuring out how to undo his damage.
I ask that in the future, you all avoid working with this guy, as one day he'll seem reasonable, and the next he'll do something like change your site just because he can. Someone told me this isn't the first time he's done this (since Noin also messed with his site), so don't work with him. It took months of constant asking to get Noin to work on a 3.5+ version of the tracker, so for him to release it here would be nearly impossible. Consider this project dead.

I have been working on porting this to 3.6.x for my site. After a day of editing the code, I got the tracker index working.
EDIT: I got almost completely through upload.php to find that it doesn't upload anything. I have no clue how this ever worked on ANY version of vBulletin. I will just go back to the tracker I was using before and try integrating that instead of updating a tracker that does nothing.
EDIT: vBTT all the way!
