sync data between two databases?

I am building another website and would like to sync up user/member database from the current forum to the new one... would like to sync up posts/threads from certain forums. Is something like this possible?

Just restore a backup of your other board, then remove what you don't need.

PS Running 2 boards will also require 2 licences.
