How do I get forum stats in header?

Simple question for what I'm assuming will be a simple asnwer. I want to be able to show the forum stats in the header... number of online people, thread numbers, post number and number of members. How would I go about doing it... is it a simple template modification or is it a little bit more indepth?

Since the stats are currently in the forumhome page, move the corresponding code to your header template or you could copy it and have it in both places.
