Is there a way to convert to vBulletin 3 from a Microsoft discussion forum? I understand that the MS discussion is a completely different animal, but I would like to do something short of cut and paste messages.
If there in not a way to convert with software, is it possible with vBulletin to permit the administrator to specify the posting date of messages -- so that I can retain the original posting date when I cut & paste?

You may want to ask this on vb.com as well. If the data is stored in a mysql database, I am sure it can be transfered over somehow.

Looks like a plain text archive... You will need to ask at vBulletin.com

Yes MS Frontpage discussion forums use a plain text archive. I posted a message about it on vBulletin.com yesterday and someone suggested that I post the question on vBulletin.org.
Today I can't find yesterday's post on vBulletin.com. I think that there may be something wrong with vBulletin.com. It recognizes me as "shilliard" like this:
"Welcome, shilliard.
You last visited: Yesterday at 4:05pm"
but "shilliard" is not on the members list.
The user CP contains "There are no subscribed threads to display in this folder for this time period."

I believe this is your thread ;)
You will need to hire someone to create a converter script of some sort for you - I doubt anyone here would do it for free ;)

Maybe phpbb has an importer for it - you could import to phpbb and then import that to vb.
