On our board we still have the 'Powered by vBulletin' in the title. Does this hurt SEO? What are the benefits with buying the branding option?

you can remove powered by vbulletin without the purchasing the branding option. the only thing you can not remove without the branding option is the copyright in the footer;)

um with powered by vbulletin it can saturate the keywords in your page's title and it looks more professional to remove it:)

How the hell do I remove it? I changed the title but that 'Powered by' is still there?

Search through your phrases for 'Powered by vBulletin', and just change the text to <!-- --> or something like that.

Has anyone know the exact php file to edit to remove the powered by at the top title.

The copyright in the top title is just a phrase i think. You should be easily ably to find and remove it.
