I know I must have missed it, but I have looked and cannot find how to move the display options box from the bottom of the threads to the top, like it is here. Can anyone point me in the right direction to finding where the instructions for that can be found?

It's a basic template adjustment.
In your forumdisplay template find this section:

<form action="forumdisplay.php" method="get">
<input type="hidden" name="s" value="$session[sessionhash]" />

<input type="hidden" name="pp" value="$perpage" />
<table class="tborder" cellpadding="$stylevar[cellpadding]" cellspacing="$stylevar[cellspacing]" border="0" width="100%" align="center">

Me too, I skipped right over that section in FORUMDISPLAY and finally started to just look here. :) A couple of other threads are unanswered over the past recent months. I'm glad the solution was right here.
Thanks
