hrm.. not sure if we're on the same page?

i'm trying to modify the actual email the user gets when subscribed to a thread. u know, the one that says something like:

Hello (user),

(someone) has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - (thread title) - in the (forum) of (your forum name).

This thread is located at:
(thread link)

Here is the message that has just been posted:
***************
(message)

...

thanks! :)

Ahh.. okay then it's a phrase you are looking for. In your Admin CP go to Languages & Phrases > Phrase Manager > Click the Search in Phrases button. Leave the buttons at default and type in has just replied to a thread and it will take you to where you can edit it.

You will need to modify the Phrase 'notify'

perfect! ty both! :)

the one to modify the PM notification turned out to be: pmreceived

(i modified 'notify' as well)

cool, got it all worked out how we wanted.

if this is of interest to anyone, i modified pmreceived to make the PM email notification show the PM message (similar to what a subscribed thread does by default) as such (the major difference is the addition of pm[message]):
