I used to use this mood mod (see attached) on my old YaBB board. The person who wrote it moved on and let me play with it. My members loved it. I'd love to see someone make a hack for 3.07 so I can bring it back.
(I don't care about the single/not single 'status' code, just the mood bar stuff. )

Maybe you should explain (maybe some screenshots or a link to another site running it) what you want to achieve. A bit difficult to guess from only phpbb file edits.

Something similar can be done with custom profile fields and appropriate template conditionals.
