I have this ip address on my v-bulletins coming up 24 /7. Anyone ever have this problem before and how to keep this (webcrawler possibly?) off my bulletins?
It uses several ip's at once and traces back to inktomisearch. Any help would be appreciated.

Why prevent it from spidering? It's a search engine spider that will aid in your site being found by surfers.

Thanks for the advice. I truely appreciate it. But is there a way to stop it? I don't have anything illegal on my site. You can search it if you want,I think it's in my profile here.
I have searched all the options and must have missed something.

I don't have anything illegal on my site.I'm curious - what relevance does having anything illegal have ??
Just to confirm - did you understand what was said ? - These are search engine crawlers, to get your sites pages listed in search engines. I assume you do want people to find you ?

It is a site for local people, anyone is invited to come there though. I just don't want to be on search engines. Vbulletin is the greatest forums. My webserver offers me the other forums for free but, I will pay for VB membership anyday. Thanks for the help in getting the settings to me. The people that made search engines are very smart. But I have my own ideas as to what I want my site to be like. I don't need search engines to advertise my site. I am newbie when it comes to website building and I really appreciate the great advice from the forums here! You peeps are so very helpful and smart.
So stupid here, sorry! Just thought they might have been searching for illegal stuff on my site.
I missed the question all together.
