Hi all, kinda embarrasing this...

I took over this account a while back from my site's previous owner when I got the licence transfered to me.

She gave me the password to it in PM at my forum, my account was hacked last month and I had all my PMs deleted.

As a result I've lost my account password, also the recovary email address is set to a non functioning one of the previous owner.

So... could I have my registered email set to borgs8472@yahoo.co.uk ?

Or should I reapply and at some point show my (perfectly valid) vb licence again to do this?

Cause I don't know my password! (thank god for cookies! :D )

If you are talking about the settings for your vB license, you should contact sales at vbulletin.com. They should be able to help you out.

PS In general it is a bad idea to post your mail address in an open post.

I believe he is referring to his vBulletin.org account...

The best suggestion I have is to PM Xenon or Erwin and explain your situation to them - They are the only ones that can help you here...

An idea, to speed up the process, might be to PM them your current IP address, any previous IP addresses you have used while accessing vB.org (if you have a dynamic IP and know your previous ones) and also your licenced email address in the vBulletin.com members area - This should help speed up the process of confirming who you are :)

I probably should know better, I created an account (Vexorg) could not download any files, had to go back to vbulletin.com to add email address. Came back still could not access get the usual vb message

Vex0rg, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation .

Now the vexorg account cannot even post a thread in feedback same message as above, any chance you can Zap this account, if you could reactive vexorg and advise why I cant get the files, or what I am doing wrong, I would appreciate it.

And yes its fully licenced copy of vb incase you ask :)

Thanks

Vex.

We can't do anything for you in regards to making you licensed. We don't have access to the licensed database. Ensure that you enter the exact email you used to register here into the priority support boxes in your members area. Note that the email is case sensitive :)
