or is the webpage hack (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=71065&highlight=webpage) better for that?
I want members to be able to change stuff around and use it as a webpage to show off cars

Similar. They get a full input box to describe the car. In 4.1.0 they can have more then one car as well and there is a list page for each users cars too.

I too am going to try and customize this enough to resemble car domain. vBGarage is a great basis, but it also needs some customizing to get it to come close to car domain. So far I have changed mine around a little bit, just installed it the other day. I have the same garage list as car domain now but I am having trouble getting an image to show up next to the member's name and do the ratings script.

Yep, we're just down the road from ya. :)
I didn't do thumbnails for the lists because the overhead is too High IMO.
I have however rewritten the thumb code and that should be reduced significantly.

Yeah, its always cool meeting someone online from the local area. What do you mean about the overhead is too high? I was talking to someone who customized your hack so images would appear next to the username but he said he didn't have time to explain how. Do you think you might ever release a version with this...like in the next 2 weeks? (thats the scheduled release of my site) hehe. Just kidding, but if you have any info to help me out that would be great. Are the images indexed in a way so I could do like <img src=image(1)> and it would display the first image they uploaded on the garage list?
Do you have any messengers that I could contact you on?

I will give you an idea of what I have done so far...I need Noppid's help to display a image next to their name though.
Edit your template called vbgarage_listgarage
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="thead" align="center">$vbphrase[vbGarage_thumbnail]</td>
<td class="thead" align="center">$vbphrase[vbGarage_member]</td>
<td class="thead" align="center">$vbphrase[vbGarage_year]</td>
<td class="thead" align="center">$vbphrase[vbGarage_make]</td>
<td class="thead" align="center">$vbphrase[vbGarage_model]</td>
<td class="thead" align="center">$vbphrase[vbGarage_rating]</td>
</tr>
$listbits
Those will take care of the the menu titles. You need to set the phrases that I used here or make your own though. I am still trying to figure out how to display a thumbnail on the left and a ratings on the right but as soon as I figure it out I will let you know. I might possibly write a tutorial when I finish on how to use vBGarage and make it look like Car Domain.

Thank you. Can you add some content to your garage so I see how the rating works?
Also think there is a way to allow users to choose the color of the backround like in the webpage hack?
Also, is there a way to make the usernames in the guestbook links back to that users profile?

I am still working on my garage, it has only been up for a couple days. I am still trying to figure out how to get the ratings to work but as soon as I figure it out I will let you know. Im sure it would be very easy to allow users to customize the background as well, I will have to take a look at it. The username linking should also be easy, I will look for the exact code but if you want to look as well, trying checking out the code for when a user post a new thread and maybe customize that so it will make their names appear the same way in the guestbook.
