Hmm, you're right - it does fail when you search for that - probably because "thank" and "you" are ignored, so you are actually just searching for "hack". I guess there are too many of these and it overloads .....

Searching for "test topic" works fine for me.

Searching for "test topic" works fine for me.
Searching for "Post Count" gives me a "This page can not be displayed" error in IE. In Firefox, it doesnt return any results.
"Test Topic" also works for me. Nothing else Ive tried does, however. Odd.....

Interesting...'Post count' fails for me too, and it's a quick failure, not just a timeout. It immediately displays the error. Searching for more esoteric terms, such as the elements of my sites name 'wizarding realm', works fine. I wonder if certain words, which may, or may not, exist in the vb code arrays responible for input sanitizing are confusing the engine?

"post count" DID work just a few days ago because I used that term to locate a hack I was looking for.

Well I think the general view is it's borked. :)

Searching for "Global user table" did nothing. It just stayed on the main search page... it never brought up the results.

I noticed a few problems with the search feature in firefox here too. I haven't tested in IE so I'm not sure. But something is definately wrong here...

Sorry, but i am very busy in real liefe these days.
Actually we are having a bit more problems here,so i assume it's a server issue, as no changes were done to vb.org lately

I'm also using FF 1.03 and I tried it on Opera and ie the problem is not browser
specifics.
Also am I correct in assuming that the search button went awery when the
double post hack was implemented?

I have never seen the search button in the Smooth Blue style (but as you can see, Im using Dark Blue, in which the Search button is present). Regardless, the Search is accessible from the Search link (d'oh).

They are not related issues. Search worked for some time after the double posting hack was installed and only recently did it start throwing errors.
On the smooth blue style you can find a link to the search page in the navbar.
BTW besides begin slow the other day search has been working fine for me, I'm also using firefox 1.0.3.
