Okay, I'm trying to help out a person who administers a vbulletin forum... and he tried downloading some hacks from here. It didn't work for him, and according to what he said the reason was because he wasn't licensed. When you own a vbulletin forum... aren't you always licensed?
TriikorG9,
You are currently showing up as unlicensed. To be able to download hacks and/or receive support here at vBulletin.org, we ask you to please click here (http://www.vbulletin.com/members/membersupport_priority.php) (vB-germany users click here (http://www.vbulletin-germany.com/members/forums.php)) and enter your email address, to show us that you are licensed.
You will need to use your customer number and password (which will be in the email you got when you paid for your license) to access that page. Please note that your email is case sensitive. The update of your account may take up to one hour.
Thank you.

If you are talking about the forum set at your homepage, this is running phpBB, not vBulletin.

Okay, one of my friends have a vbulletin forum... and he tried downloading some hacks from here. It didn't work for him, and according to what he said the reason was because he wasn't licensed. When you own a vbulletin forum... aren't you always licensed?
if you purchased an owned licence you are licenced for life (membersareaaccess to download updates & new releases $30 a year i think) if you purchased a leased licence you are only licenced for one year after that you have the choice purchase a new or remove vbulletin also vbulletin on a free host ? lol that's near to impossible i bet your so called "friend" doesn't even excist and you are just a person trying to get the hacks for free
vbulletin hacks won't run on phpBB .... nice try

actually, your answer is very irrelevant to my question. and as to your theory of the friend being myself, that is incorrect because in fact, this is not really a friend but just a person I know only online. CyberXP9... his forums are here: http://www.cyberxp9.net

If you question is not about you, then why is the topic title "... but I have a forum" - clearly you don't have a forum - and why can't your "friend" post the question themselves ??

Then I will change the title.

You only "own" something if you pay for it.

I don't get why ppl are accussing for something I didn't do. I didn't steal vBulletin... in fact I have nothing to do with the creation of the site. I came along and found a vB that was surrounding Flash-related topics, so I joined up and tried my best to improve it.

Nobody is accusing YOU for something. But the boardowner is using a pirat copy of vBulletin and probably didn't pay for the right to use it. We have no way of knowing how you are connected to this board. To get support on the official vBulletin boards you will need to proof your license status before we can help you.

Correct. But some people who run a vBulletin forum may not have paid for their copy.
