BBCVman, when I did the conversion for vBa CMPS it was based upon the old vB 2.x hack and at the time there wasn't a vB3 version. With vB3 you can get the same look & feel through a template BB code.

Do you have instructions on how to do template BB code for your hack? if so Ill start reading thru it...

Thanks for the help...

Don,

If you want to take the easy approach check here (http://www.vbulletintemplates.com/mods/showthread.php?t=6671) -- that will give you the appearance of a custom smilie but actually does it through a slick little BB code table trick. It's because of that BB table code method why I chose to convert the old version to vBa CMPS as a fun exercise in learning more about PHP than trying to duplicate it in vB3.

However.... some people disagreed with my choice. :lick: One example of somebody's alternative can be found here (http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2694). That person took my CMPS module and turned it into a BB code.

Personally like the method on the first link above a lot better because it doesn't require a person to have GD and so much more can be done with it (for example, you can have have other BB codes inside of the smilie sign code, etcetra). For my forums I've been doing the table method and offering the CMPS version just as a fun toy for people to play with.
