Very nice. May I ask who designed your forum's skin?

1. The header is not very prominent; it doesn't leave a lasting branded impression.
2. The search box is virtually invisible and not clearly a search box in the first place. The search link should also always be very prominently placed, not in the footer.
3. The thead cells are too vertically smashed together to the point that the text is colliding with the top and bottom of the cells. Add at least some padding and use a bigger font.
4. There is a white rectangular rendering artifact at the bottom right of the page in Firefox.
5. Mouseover effects on the normal links would be nice.
6. The DHTML menus are still the default vB colors which clash with yours. The same with some other colors such as those used by STANDARD_ERROR.
7. In the login form, the checkbox "Cookie?" doesn't provide a real description of what it does. Something like "Remember me" would be better. You should also provide a registration link directly in the login form.
8. You have 8 easy-to-fix validation errors: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.talkphp.com%2Findex.php %3F
7. Some buttons are inset rather than outset; for example, the forumjump's "Go" menu.
8. Not only are you using the pixel font in some buttons (namely the postbit), you're using a ridiculously small version of it. Just use the font you're using everywhere else.
9. You have some inconsistent coloring; the New Reply buttons are orange, the New Thread buttons are black.
10. As the rest of your site has been modified, it may be a good idea to use a custom postbit as well.

filburt1 - Thanks for the detailed reply. I'll take everything into consideration. The validation errors are something I will definately fix shortly.
I'm using FireFox also and I don't see the white rectangular rendering artifact you're talking about?

There's supposed to be a banner there and I'm not sure why it's not showing up for you. I checked in both Firefox 1.0.3 and IE and the banner is there both. Logged in and logged out?

I'm using Adblock to block ads. That is likely the reason.

Yep. That would be the reason then.
