vbulletin send 84,000 emails?

We have a PHPlist installation with about 84,000 subscribers.

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with sending tens of thousands of emails with vBulletin > Users > Send Email to Users function.

If it works fine, I can import names, saving people from registering twice when they visit our site. (also PHPlist stalls several times while sending...)

It sends them in batches, from my experience. It could take a looong time for that many users.

It does send in batches with a size you decide, however it is using a form to carry the data on to the next page. So unless you have confidence your PHP installation can handle sending a huge amount of emails per batch (not recommended to bet on), you may want to consider installing my "Automatic 'Send Email' Redirect" (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=78550) hack, which will automatically redirect to the next page, so you can play it safe and set batch amount to 500, then go watch some TV or summit ;)
