I have a question, the hack posted above doesn't auto merge the thread upon posting it, only when refreshed. This forum auto merges as you post. Is this because of the auto refresh option in the vb settings? or is it a different modification?

That's because of the AJAX stuff.

Well I have ajax enabled but it works differently on my site for some reason then it does here.

I have to hit refresh in order to have them merged.
