Child Styles

I want to have a master style where I have all my edits and mods added.

But how do I add the child styles, they never show under the master style when I choose 'Add Child Style'.

Also will I have to add all my mods to the child styles or will they be added using the master one?

If you have a second style, just select the master as the parent style.

Also will I have to add all my mods to the child styles or will they be added using the master one?Unless the child style have a modified version of a template, all templates are inherited from the Parent

But will they work with different templates or just templates which are all the same style.

i.e: the default vb and one in grey and one in green?
