Hi all,

PHPbb has a mod/hack called fetchall that is basically a parsing script
that allows you to parse anything from your forums and place it on any
regular html/php etc page. It allows you to be selective with what you
want too like if you want the post and title but not the quote button or
date etc.

Is there anything like that for VB?

Thanks much,
Travis U.

P.S. If you want an example of what it does look at www.able2know.com (http://www.able2know.com)
they use it on the home page among others.

There are homepage / CMS like that, if that is what you mean. There is vBadvanced and vBindex. However if these don't meet you needs, anything is possible if you do it yourself, or ask someone else nicely.

Dear eva01,

I was wondering the same thing. I came back the other day and couldnt log in and
couldnt figure out why. So i just reregistered figuring that I must have been
halucinating the first time around.

Sorry for the double post. Didnt mean to. Maybe some kind admin can fix my double
identity and post. :)

As far as using a cms i would really rather not be locked into a cms. Its to constrictive.
Thats why I want something like fetchall for vb. Its extremely usefull. Just look at sites
like daniweb.com. She has forum stuff parsed all over the place. It makes for the ability
to create not just another cookie cutter forum site.

So basically im gonna have to code this myself or pay someone?

Thanks,
Travis U.
