Dummy users logged in?

Is there a hack to make it look like there is more people logged onto your site then there really is?

I am looking for something that would show some dummy users (not really members) online. To make it seem that a site is more happening then it really is?

I find that it's really hard to get people to join a new site with very little activity.

If you have any other suggestions I would like to hear it as well.

search for the users online template then simply place a few names in there with links to fake users. No need to edit any code.
