Could you also offer us the option to disable searches and seeing the vbulletin 2 modification forums?

I'd be ever so thankful :)

I'll start a poll soon about moving the vb2 forums to the archives ^^

i think it would be a great idea, force alot of vb2 users to upgrade their boards since they wont get support for vb2 that much. but then again you cant search the archives :/

But, if Jelsoft vetoes closing them or if enough users still want them open, can we optionally hide them please? (Inserting sweetest smile here. :) )

I say close them when offical support dose, that way at least the vB2 users get support via these forums as long as they do at vBulletin.com.

funnily enough, depending on server specs, vB2 can still be better than vB3 for large communities :ermm:

i really dont see a much of a difference between server specs for vb2 and vb3. i think only thing that maters is how well the person can code their skin and vb hacks without creating that much of a resource and what they have disabled and enabled on the server and the script. thats how i see on a few large boards that use vb3 or vb2.

do an advanced search and just select the category you want to search, its not difficult...

AN-net is right

you can already exclude those forums in the search engine, an extra setting would be redundant. (for now at least ;))
